18-Year-Old Aspiring Chef Jeremiah Josey Wrote A Book About Living With Autism

Jeremiah Josey wrote a book about what it’s like to live with autism. Josey is an aspiring pastry chef based in Maryland who hosts a cooking show on YouTube called “Jeremiah’s Cooking Adventure.” As a young chef with autism, he is an advocate for those who are also on the spectrum.

“Because I have autism I’m not gonna let that stop me from getting in the way of my abilities and trying to accomplish my dreams,” he said.

Josey and his mom wrote a book called “Here’s What I Want You To Know,” which details his point of view.

“The book basically talks about looking at autism through one’s eyes and not letting it get in your way of your abilities,” he explained.
His accomplishments in the kitchen have made a big impact on his life. He’s been passionate about cooking ever since he started working with established chefs, like Chef Kwame Onwuachi, to collaborate and learn more. Jeremiah wants to go to culinary school and hopes to open his own pastry shop in the future.

“What I want people to know about me is that I’m not gonna let a disability that I have get in the way of my dream and abilities that I’m trying to accomplish,” he said.
