The DeSoto County, FL, sheriff's office says it's located a Chevy Silverado with red and blue lights that they said was impersonating law enforcement. The 'Booty Patrol' truck had apparently been roaming around DeSoto County and neighboring areas north of Fort Myers, FL.
When the sheriff's office posted on Facebook asking for help, they were (predictably) met with absolutely no help at all. Commenters instead piled on jokes on the department's page, with one saying, 'Good lord man yall need to find better leads.'
Another added, 'He hasn't pulled anyone over, and if he did, I rather give my money to him!'
Some in the comments claimed these were old pictures and that the sheriff's office might have just been looking for evidence tying a suspect to the truck so that he or she could be arrested. But one commenter probably spoke for most when he simply said, 'Legend.'
The sheriff's office posted an update on Facebook saying officers had found the driver and issued a citation.
