Taking the stand again Thursday, Amber Heard testified that Johnny Depp violently sexually assaulted her, countering her ex-husband’s claims in his defamation case.

During her testimony, Heard recounted an alleged March 2015 incident during a trip to Australia. Heard claimed that Depp was angry after accusing her of sleeping with her ‘The Danish Girl’ co-star Eddie Redmayne, and he became violent, severing part of his middle finger, writing vulgar messages in blood, and violently sexually assaulting her with a glass bottle.

Depp, who concluded his testimony Monday, had painted Heard as the aggressor during the fight, claiming he had been trying to hide, but she pursued him and started the argument.

The trial is taking a break next week and will pick up with more testimony from Heard on May 16. Depp is seeking $50 million in damages for defamation claims stemming from a Washington Post op-ed written by Heard.
