From 'Boy Meets World' to 'Boy Meets U.S. Congress'?
Actor Ben Savage is reportedly considering a run for California's 30th U.S. House district.

Ben Savage, the 42-year-old actor best known for his starring role as Cory Matthews on ‘Boy Meets World,’ is reportedly serious about a run for Congress.
According to several outlets, Savage filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday to run as a Democrat in California’s 30th Congressional District, which covers several neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area, including Burbank and West Hollywood.
That district is currently represented by Rep. Adam Schiff, a prominent Democrat who served on the January 6th House select committee and as chair of the House Intelligence Committee. However, there is widespread belief among Beltway experts that Schiff is planning to run for California’s U.S. Senate seat in 2024, though he has not publicly confirmed as of January 19.
The speculation centers around the seat currently held by 89-year-old Dianne Feinstein, who is widely expected to retire at the end of her current term.
When asked about the potential congressional run by Entertainment Weekly, Savage’s camp demurred. ‘Ben is still making decisions and always looking for opportunities to give back and serve the community,’ said Savage's representative Justin Baxter.Savage previously attempted an unsuccessful run for the West Hollywood City Council in 2022.
