President Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday was filled with many memorable moments — from Lady Gaga’s rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner” to a powerful poem by National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman. But a particularly captivating sight was  that of Sen. Bernie Sanders, who came to the event dressed in his most practical winter wardrobe with a mysterious manila envelope.

Sanders’ winter-friendly attire and with his socially distanced spot at the historic event culminated in a slew of glorious memes and photos pointing out how deeply his mere presence captures the collective ~vibe~ right now.

Here are some of the best memes of the Vermont senator straight chillin’ at the inauguration.

Some online pointed out the heartwarming origin of Sanders’ instantly iconic mittens.

Others observed that his coat was strikingly similar to the one he wore in his equally meme-able 2019 campaign ad, in which he stated, “I am once again asking for your financial support.”

Sanders has championed progressive policy and mentored rising stars including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and has played a key role in shaping the Biden administration’s agenda.
