Demi Lovato Says She’s Using “She/Her” Pronouns Again

“I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music, my creativity,” the 29-year-old singer said.

Demi Lovato is going back to using she/her pronouns, just over one year after the pop singer announced that she would be using they/them and identified as nonbinary in May 2021. In an interview with “Spout Podcast,” Lovato said she adopted “she/her” pronouns again because she has ‘been feeling more feminine.’

“Last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy,” Lovato told podcast host Tamara Dhia. “And that's what they/them is about for me … Recently, I’ve been feeling more feminine, and so I’ve adopted she/her again.”

“I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music, my creativity,” the 29-year-old added.

Dhia took to Twitter yesterday to clarify that Lovato “did NOT say she is abandoning they/them as her pronouns, she simply said she is adding she/her.”
