Tesla is being ordered to pay a woman $101k after she complained that her EV has problems with its Autopilot feature, Der Spiegel first reported.

The lawsuit states that her vehicle’s Autopilot function has had repeated problems since November 2017 after it was delivered to her in March of that same year.

A Munich court sided with the woman, who said that her Autopilot feature was unreliable on the roads and the car would brake unexpectedly.

They ruled that the sudden braking could pose a “massive danger” in city traffic, but Tesla’s lawyer says the Autopilot feature is not meant to be used in city traffic.

Tesla's Autopilot feature has come under scrutiny in recent years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently investigating the Autopilot after 11 incidents of Tesla cars crashing into first-responder vehicles.
