On Feb 27, Keke Palmer and boyfriend Darius Jackson announced the birth of their first child, named Leodis Andrellton Jackson, on social media.
The 29-year-old actress posted an Instagram carousel of photos of her, Jackson, and their newborn with the caption “Hey Son!!!!...Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”
Palmer also shared a video of her singing “Someone” by El DeBarge, writing, “Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, ‘Someone’ by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!”
Palmer first announced her pregnancy while hosting “Saturday Night Live” in December 2022.
“People have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant,' and I want to set the record straight: I am,” she said during the episode’s opening monologue. “It is bad when people spread rumors about you on the internet, but it's even worse when they're correct.”
