People Are Gobsmacked That The White House Held A Functional Press Conference

President Joe Biden’s press secretary held multiple White House press conferences this week already and people pointed out the noticeable difference compared to the last four years.

President Joe Biden’s administration got right to work this week after he was inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States and with that came the return of regular White House press conferences.

Biden’s new press secretary is Jen Psaki, an Obama administration veteran, and she’s shocking and soothing some reporters and onlookers with her extreme...normalcy.

After Psaki’s first press conference on Wednesday night, just hours after Biden was sworn into office, many people compared the secretary’s candor and approach to the whirlwind past four years of former President Trump’s multiple press secretaries, who would often argue with reporters.

Leading infectious diseases expert and Biden’s chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci joined the White House press briefing on Thursday, and looked at ease and overjoyed to be there. Fauci spoke about working under the new administration and how they plan to not “point fingers” and make sure their work is “based on science and evidence.”

“I take no pleasure at all in being in a situation of contradicting the president so it was really something that you didn’t feel that you could actually say something and there wouldn’t be any repercussions about it,” Fauci said of working under Trump. “The idea that you can get up here and talk about what you know, what the evidence — what the science is and know that’s it, let the science speak — it is somewhat of a liberating feeling.”

After Fauci and Psaki gave informative and non-confrontational press conferences, people commented on what a shift it was compared to the former administration — including Fauci’s visibly apparent better mood.
