‘Planned Parenthood Saved My Life.’ Leslie Jones Reveals She Has Had 3 Abortions

In her new memoir, ‘Leslie F*cking Jones,’ former ‘SNL‘ star Leslie Jones said a lack of education about contraception led to her having three abortions as a young person.

She wrote that she knew she never wanted children, but didn’t know how to correctly use prevention methods to avoid getting pregnant, according to Insider.

‘Prevention is what we should be teaching. If I'd even had an inkling of how to protect myself… I didn't know any of that stuff,’ Jones wrote in her book. ‘By my mid-twenties, I had had three abortions, and I thought, ‘This is not a birth control method.‘’

‘Planned Parenthood saved my life,’ she wrote. ‘I still give money to them to this day. When I went to Planned Parenthood, I finally learned how to prevent pregnancies and take care of myself.’

Earlier this year, Jones praised Planned Parenthood while guest hosting ‘The Daily Show,’ saying, ‘You would not know how much they saved my life. So much that I have them in my trust. That's how much I believe that that service needs to be one of the most important things.’
