Porn star Ron Jeremy, 67, has been charged with forcibly raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth woman in separate incidents. If convicted as charged, he could face a maximum sentence of 90 years to life in state prison, the Los Angeles district attorney said.

DA Jackie Lacey announced on Tuesday that Jeremy was charged with with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery. The separate incidents date back to 2014, according to a release.

Jeremy’s attorney Stuart Goldfarb told the Associated Press that his client is “absolutely innocent of the charges. It’s not a close call.”

Prosecutors recommended setting bail at $6.6 million. Jeremy’s arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed until Friday, according to CNN

A rare adult film star with mainstream recognition, Jeremy, nicknamed “The Hedgehog,” has also appeared in shows including “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” and the 1999 film “Detroit Rock City.”

In 2017, as the #The MeToo movement was growing, Rolling Stone reported on allegations of sexual misconduct against Jeremy after speaking with more than a dozen women. At the time, Jeremy refuted the claims and reportedly said in an email to Rolling Stone: “I have never and would never rape anyone.”

On Tuesday, Dante Rusciolelli, the owner of Golden Artists Entertainment, which represented Jeremy announced that it was dropping him as a client.

“We hope that these allegations against him are not true, but if they are, we hope that he is prosecuted,” Rusciolelli said in the announcement.

The District Attorney’s Office also said it declined another case against Jeremy due to insufficient evidence stemming from an incident in 2016.

Lacey has prosecuted other moguls in the entertainment industry for sexual misconduct, including disgraced producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.

In a Tuesday tweet, Jeremy stated, "I am innocent of all charges. I can’t wait to prove my innocence in court! Thank you to everyone for all the support."
