“The Fresh Prince” Mansion Will Be Available To Rent On Airbnb
Los Angeles County residents can stay in the real-life mansion that Will Smith pulled up to in a yellow cab 30 years ago.
Will Smith partnered with Airbnb for a first-come, first-serve chance to stay one night in the mansion made famous by the classic ’90s television show “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.”
To celebrate 30 years since Smith pulled up in a cab to his Bel-Air kingdom, Los Angeles County residents can book a one-night stay in the mansion best-known for appearing in the iconic show. The inside has been reimagined to incorporate some of the old school “big-Willie style” with graffiti on the walls and throwback photos of Smith’s character.
Starting September 29, residents can book October 2, 5, 8, 11, and 14, for $30 a night—to commemorate the 30th anniversary. The lavish staycation will include meals, a wardrobe fit for a prince from Philly, a new pair of Air Jordans, and a virtual greeting from DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Airbnb said in its announcement that only LA County residents who live together are eligible to book the mansion, in accordance with COVID-19 regulations. The company also said it would sanitize the house between stays and meet the standards of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Airbnb also said it would make a donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia—the city that Smith and his character in the show are originally from.
The mansion was filmed as the exterior shot for the popular show that aired from 1990 to 1996. “Fresh Prince” was nominated for multiple awards and helped launch Smith’s acting career.
Last week, Smith posted a photo of the cast reunited on the set for a planned reboot coming to HBO Max.
