Amid Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine, Fox News pundits attacked President Joe Biden for being “weak” on foreign policy.

Steve Hilton, host of Fox News’ show “The Next Revolution,” spoke out Monday evening with divisive partisan comments pertaining to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, “Trump projected strength. Putin took note,” he said, “He didn’t try anything on when Trump was there. Neither did China’s dictator, President Xi, or Iran, or little rocket man. Now let’s look at what Biden has projected. On the actual substance, actions not words, it’s been a slow-motion surrender to Vladimir Putin.”

GOP officials also hit Biden on failing to act against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

However, international affairs specialist Tom Nichols explained how partisanship is motivating GOP officials, writing in The Atlantic, “I think it’s a citizen’s duty to hold the president accountable, but that’s not what the GOP is about at this point. This is about whatever Biden is in favor of, they’re against it. And they will change positions back and forth depending on what the president is doing at any given moment”

What GOP commentators failed to mention is that former President Donald Trump routinely praised Putin. Trump was praising Putin in a press conference just days before Russian troops attacked Ukraine.
