Humans are Likely Responsible for 75% of all Wildfires
Humans are likely responsible for 75% of all wildfires, and climate change is making the problem worse.
'These are erratic, high intensity fires that are difficult to impossible to extinguish,' says Dr. Michael Flannigan, a researcher at the University of Alberta.
Some fires occur naturally, but humans still play a huge part. If fires are too intense, they can create irreversible damage to the ecosystem.
As humans continue to warm the planet, fire seasons are lasting longer and growing more intense.
