Leaking Wastewater Reservoir in Florida Could Flood Tampa Bay

A wastewater reservoir in Florida is leaking and could flood Tampa Bay and the surrounding area with approx 480 million gallons of polluted water.

A leaking wastewater reservoir at a shuttered phosphate plant has forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes and could flood the surrounding area and Tampa Bay with polluted water.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency on April 4 over concerns that the retaining wall could collapse.
