This Company Makes Diamonds From Excess Carbon in the Atmosphere

Sky Diamonds makes diamonds with excess carbon dioxide from greenhouse gas.

The company captures CO2 from the atmosphere and treats it with heat and pressure, while using rainwater and solar and wind energy. The 'zero impact' diamonds it's developed are recognized by the International Gemological Institute.

Dale Vince, the inventor of Sky Diamonds, argues that typical diamond mining is an 'abusive industry' that's 'on the verge of slave labor.' Extraction has huge environmental impacts, including soil erosion, deforestation, and ecosystem destruction.

Sky Diamonds hopes to change the industry for the better.
