New Apple iPhone Cameras Are Triggering People Who Have Trypophobia

The launch of the new iPhone model are triggering people with trypophobia, or the fear of irregular clusters of small holes.
“The iPhone 11 is literally make me shake with trypophobia,” @VimBganya tweeted. “Imagine if you’re a diehard apple fan and have trypophobia like me guess you might need to pass on the iPhone 11.”
“Hey @Apple thanks for sending waves of goosebumps and fear straight through the vanes of every person with #trypophobia today,” @ellen_vest tweeted.
“I’m so triggered with the new iPhone,” @ksj_mm tweeted. “Been having goosebumps and weak knees every time I see the cameras. I haaate it!!! Trypophobia problems.”
Trypophobia is not recognized by the American Psychiatric Association. However, a subreddit on the phenomenon has amassed 60,000 subscribers over the past seven years.
The iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro features two and three large, back-facing cameras, respectively, allowing a photo mode called Ultra Wide. The third camera on the iPhone 11 Pro allows four times optical zoom. Apple announced the new phones at its special event on September 10, 2019.
