Tesla’s Model X Comes With Some Wild Easter Eggs

Tesla’s Model X has a lot of fun Easter eggs.

To start, it has a Model Xmas icon. If you press it, the vehicle will start to put on a show, complete with music and self-opening doors.

Entering its 007 Mode will turn your dashboard into the submarine from “The Spy Who Loved Me.”

With the Rainbow Road feature, you can turn your display into a rainbow road by engaging in autopilot 4 times in quick succession. The feature will also blast the song from SNL’s “More Cowbell” skit.

Naming your vehicle “42” will prompt it to quote Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and the GPS can also be turned into the surface of Mars by tapping on the red planet in the Easter Egg menu.

It also has a “Launch Mode” that takes you 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and a touch screen that doubles as a sketch pad, which lets you paint masterpieces, or just jot down a grocery list.

Finally, there’s Santa Mode, which transforms your car into a sleigh and other cars into reindeer — your blinker will also jingle when enable under this feature.

From book quotes to rainbows, it definitely seems like there’s nothing this car can’t do.
