Pam Keith served as a U.S. Navy Officer, but wanted to do more — so she’s running for Congress.
“Patriotism is not loving America, it’s loving Americans. Because it’s Americans that make this country so unique. So different.” she said. “I am a patriot, not because I love a piece of land, but because I love the people on that land. And I will fight to the death to make sure that they have the opportunities, the ability to make most of their lives.”
Keith’s supports have called her Obama’s heir apparent but her path has been one of the kind.
“I’m the daughter of a U.S. diplomat. I was born in Turkey. I lived in Morocco and Syria all before I was seven years old,” she explained. We were a household that was designed to project American values overseas.”
After college, Keith began serving her country in the U.S. Navy. She’s the first African American woman ever to run a qualified campaign for United States Senate in Florida history. She’s active in groups supporting the homeless, veterans, and underprivileged kids. She’s also encouraging women to fight for the causes they care about.
