Broadway actor and singer Javier Munoz can actually relate to women.
“A room full of man making a decision on what a woman can or cannot do with her own body does not make sense to me at all,” the Hamilton actor explained. “I can also relate this to LGBTQIA rights. And the rights that get taken from us by heterosexual men in power. And that’s to me, sort of very, very close together. The way healthcare reform happens and how it affects people living with HIV and the people making those decisions don’t live with HIV or don’t know anyone who does — certainly have no compassion for it either.”
He further explained, “So there’s intersections here. You can’t have proper representation to decide how lives will be affected if you don’t have fair representation, if you’re no listening to all sides, if not everyone is involved in that choice.”
