Private Sex Club Holds Panel To Prove Consent Is Sexy

This private sex club wants you to know that consent is sexy.

The New Society for Wellness (NSFW) recently held #ConsentCon.

The event featured panels by industry leaders discussing implied consent, which entails going until you hear the word “no,” and teaching the concept of enthusiastic consent instead.

“A lot of survivors often talk about how when they were getting attacked, they just froze up, they weren’t able to do anything, they weren’t able to say no or speak. And that’s why implied consent is not working,” stated NSFW publicist Melissa Vitale. “Enthusiastic consent is making sure that your partner consents to whatever action before committing it to them.”

Daniel Saynt started NSFW out of his apartment in 2015 an outlet for people to explore their sexuality without judgement.

“When I started the company, I was going through something sexually myself and really understanding my own bisexuality and understanding what that meant and understanding and being vocal with it,” he stated.

It has since grown into a private club with 750+ members with a focus on expression and education about sexual wellness and cannabis. Organizers were inspired to hold #ConsentCon after so many came forth for the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.
