Stressed out city dwellers take notice: Hawaii is gifting free vacations to stressed New Yorkers in need of a vacation.
6 stressed-out NYC residents will be invited to the “Work From Hawaii” residency program and get the chance to de-stress. It includes a round trip flight from NYC to Hawaii, a specialized workspace, accommodations, activities and excursions, and an allowance for meals and local transportation for 8 days and 7 nights.
The residency will take place in September 2018 and is only open to residents in the greater NYC Metropolitan area between 24-36 years old. Applicants can apply for a specific workspace like the Design Loft, where you can work with local creators and artists, the Writing Desk, a remote workspace to help you find new ways of storytelling, or the Corner Office, which is a workspace with a gorgeous view. There are 6 workspaces to choose from.
The program is sponsored by Hawaii Tourism United States and its purpose is to celebrate the “career-minded visitor” and connect different people with Hawaii’s culture to inspire their own work. So, if you’re a stressed out New Yorker who is looking for a brief change of scenery, this program can give you exactly what you’re looking for.
