The new Starbucks credit card rewards your love for coffee. Starbucks and chase joined forces to co-brand a card under the Starbucks rewards program. Customers can earn stars with every purchase they make on the card, inside and outside of Starbucks stores worldwide. The card can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted and 125 stars earns you a drink, a food items or a ready-to-drink beverage.
Jennifer Roberts, head of digital products at Chase state, “We want to give card members who can’t live without their Starbucks beverage an easy way to earn rewards.”
Signing up gets you 2,500 stars when you spend $500 in the first three months of opening an account. Card holders also become members of the loyalty program, and get all the perks that come with that — including more free Starbucks items. The card’s annual fee is $49.
It’s actually been a pretty tough couple of months for Starbucks — the company just reported first quarter earnings and they weren’t so hot. After that report, their shares took an almost 5% dive. But implementations like the card will hopefully save the company from obscurity by giving their fans even more reasons to continue to support them.
