You can pay someone to manage your Instagram at this hotel — so you can still get likes while you unplug on vacation.
Ibis hotels in Zurich and Geneva are offering room packages that include a hired Instagram manager. That person will take pictures for you on your vacation while you take a break from social media, so you are still able to share your vacation experience online.
It’s a $90 service called “Relax We Post.” Fifteen influencers will take on the role as the Instagram sitter. They include lifestyle bloggers and radio hosts who have thousands of Instagram followers.
Guests have to give the hired Instagram sitter their password and they have to tell them their personal interests. Posts are required to include the hashtag #PostedBySocialMediaSitter. The program is a trial and is only available for a limited time.
The hotel notes that travelers nowadays are too focused on finding the perfect ‘gram rather than enjoying the moment.
This isn’t the first time a hotel is offering an Instagram manager. The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island offered a service called “Instagram Butler,” who advised guests where, when, and how to take the best photos of their vacation — a pretty cool service for ‘gram-happy travelers.
