These Sneakers Can Order You Pizza Hut

You can now order pizza and pause the TV with your shoes, thanks to Pizza Hut’s new “Pie Tops II” — a pair of special edition sneakers for March Madness. The shoes let you order pizza and pause your TV once it arrives, all by pressing a button on the shoe’s tongue. Bluetooth technology links the shoes to your phone and the Pie Tops app, so customers can instantly order at the press of a button.

“It’s called March Madness for a reason. We don’t want anyone to miss a play while answering the door to get their pizza.” Zipporah Allen, Pizza Hut’s marketing officer, stated.

As the official pizza sponsor for the NCAA, the shoes are part of an ad campaign for March Madness. And the chain will be offering two medium two-topping pizzas for $5.99 each when you order two or more.

Pizza Hut teamed up with the “shoe surgeon” to come up with the new shoe design, which is a sequel to last year’s Pie Top sneakers. A price hasn’t been announced yet, but 50 pairs will go on sale the week of March 19 and will be available on Hypebeast’s e-commerce site HBX.com.
