This daycare center is accused of waxing toddlers’ eyebrows without parental consent.
When Alyssa Salgado picked up her almost tow-year-old daughter, she noticed the area between her eyebrows was red and some of her eyebrow hair appeared to be gone.
Alyssea Salgado posted on Facebook, “Nothing like this should ever happen and they had no right to touch my daughter at all. I birthed my daughter and love every little thing about her and these so-called women took it upon themselves to correct the way my daughter should look not only that it happened to another mother’s son Glenda Maria Cruz.”
Salgado connected with Cruz, who had noticed the same thing when she picked her son up from the same daycare.
“My son can’t talk and I don’t know what he has been through. It’s really hard honestly because he’s just a baby, he can’t defend himself. He’s not ever 2 yet and I’m at a point right now that I feel like a bad mom because I can’t protect him when he needs me the most and it sucks feeling this way.” Cruz posted on Facebook.
The state’s Department of Early Learning opening an investigation. The Boys & Girls Club that runs the daycare conducted an internal review and released a statement saying the allegations were “unsubstantiated.”
