This free game lets you explore the Titanic in a near-perfect replica that brings the ship back to life.
“Titanic: Honor and Glory” is a “role-playing action-drama” where players can venture through every room, desk, and corridor of the Titanic.
The luxury ship sank in 1912, killing roughly 1,500 passengers and personnel. The game’s story follows the fictional passenger Owen Robert Morgan, who is linked to a series of international crimes.
The game simulates the real-time sinking of the ship, which took two hours and 40 minutes. Players can interact with 200 “real-life characters” from the ship’s history. They can also explore the harbor city of Southampton, England, and ride old British trains.
The developer, Vintage Digital Revival, is waiting on funding to complete the game, but the demo is available through its site. It can only be played on a PC but developers say it will be VR, console, and iMac compatible.
“We are aiming to create the ultimate Titanic experience,” they explained. “No other project can match our attention to detail of authenticity, nor can it match our level of reverence we are placing on this.”
