Indigenous Activists Arrested While Protesting Pipeline in the Bayou

An Indigenous woman named Cherri Foytlin was violently arrested after protesting a pipeline that would go through the place she calls home. Foytlin, who is Din’e, Cherokee, and Latina, is also a water protector who has been fighting against the Bayou Bridge Pipeline in Louisiana for a year and a half. After this video was published, NowThis learned that construction on a section of the pipeline was halted.
