These thieves were caught trying to sneak out of Costco.
A Seattle police officer recognized a suspect in Costco as someone whom they say robbed a different Costco and escaped out the back.
According to abc15.com, "On March 14, South Precinct officers responded to a call at about 5:30 p.m. of a shoplift in progress at the Costco, police said. Loss Prevention officers inside the store recognized one of the suspects inside and said he had previously stolen items in the past and run out the fire exit.”
While the officers waiting out back, one stated, “We just wait for him to come out. He’s just going to run out with his laptop.” While another stated, “Yup, you guys setting up a little theft scheme, huh?”
The police arrested a 30-year-old man, 21-year-old woman and their 18-year-old getaway driver. They were caught carrying computers and vacuums out of the back of the store. Police believe the suspects robbed another Costco the same day, stealing more than $2,000 worth of electronics.
It’s actually pretty comical to watch how easy the cops had it catching the perpetrators. All they had to do was wait patiently in the back and let the action come to them — likely a welcomed change for some of them.
