This Dad Is Using Cheesesteaks To Measure His Son's Growth
This dad tracked his baby’s growth with cheesesteaks — and the plan was totally spontaneous.
“Being new parents, this is our first kid, you’re basically running on no sleep. A lot of take out, you know. We ordered takeout and I got a cheesesteak. I’m sitting there and my wife’s holding our son and I look over and realize he’s literally about the size of this cheesesteak,” explained father Brad Williams. “So, I was like, ‘Let’s take a picture, why not?’”
After that first photo, Williams began a cheesy tradition of photographing his son next to a cheesesteak every month, up until his first birthday. He called the series “Cheesesteak for Scale.”
“I think this is going to be something that he’ll be able to look back on when he gets a little bit older and really understands it and really just get a kick out of it, I’m sure.”
Lucas is a little over two years old now, so his dad stopped the photographs a year ago. But he recently decided to post them on his blog and share them on Reddit. They quickly went viral, seeing as there are plenty of people other that enjoy good food and cute baby photos.
