Brett Kavanaugh Faces New Sexual Assault Accusations, Trump Comes to His Defense

Justice Kavanaugh faces new allegations of sexual assault detailed in a book about Kavanaugh by New York Times reporters.

“A classmate, Max Stier, saw Mr. Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different drunken dorm party, where friends pushed his penis into the hand of a female student. […]” Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly explained within the article. “The female student declined to be interviewed and friends say she does not recall the episode.”

The incident bears resemblance to another allegation made by Deborah Ramirez in September 2018. Ramiraz also alleged that Kavanaugh “thrust his penis in her face.” Kavanaugh denied the allegation during his confirmation hearing.

FBI agents interviewed Ramirez, saying she was “credible,” and her lawyers provided the FBI with a list of 25 people who could have “corroborating evidence.” The New York Times reports that none of those people were interviewed.

Kavanaugh faced several allegations during his confirmation process, including official Senate testimony from Christine Blasey Ford, who said Kavanaugh assaulted her in high school. Kavanaugh denied this allegation, as well.

Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court in October 2018. In light of the new assault allegation, Trump took to Twitter and called on supporters to #ProtectKavanaugh.
