Former Trump advisor Carter Page got caught lying again. When asked if he had ever spoken to Donald Trump on ABC back in October 2016, Page said, “I never spoke with him since. I never spoke with him any time in my life.”
But, on Russian TV, he stated, “I’ve certainly been in a number of meetings with him and I’ve learned a tremendous amount from him.”
Page was a member of the Trump 2016 Foreign Policy team, who was subject to surveillance by the FBI because of his close contacts with Russian spies — which he also has a history of lying about. When asked on PBS if he had taken any meetings with Russian officials, he said he hadn’t, but then confirmed a meeting with a Russian ambassador on a different station.
Another member of Trump’s foreign policy team, George Papdopoulos, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about Russia. But don’t worry, we had our best guys looking into it — seeing as Devin Nunes, the chair of the Intelligence Committee, claimed that Papadopoulos was not connected to the Russia scandal at all — even though he clearly was. There is plenty of evidence showing that both of these men lied — hopefully this will lead to some sort of implication.
