Fox News Host Laura Ingraham decided to bully a school shooting survivor and is losing advertisers because of it.
Ever since the shooting in Parkland, Florida, Ingraham has mocked and criticized the survivors for their advocacy of gun reform, while praising the weapon that was used.
She’s stated in the past, “AR-15, one of the most popular firearms in the United States, but that clearly is being targeted by the anti-gun folks tonight.”
She also recently mocked survivor David Hogg’s college rejections on Twitter, stating, “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)
Hogg’s sister instantly called out the odd behavior, tweeting, “HEY @FLOTUS MY BROTHER IS LITERALLY GETTING CYBERBULLIED BY @IngrahamAngle. ANY COMMENTS? #NeverAgain.”
Hogg himself even put pressure on Ingraham’s advertisers, asking people to contact them to boycott her show. Within hours, three of the advertisers had pulled out and Ingraham was forced to walk back her statement, stating, “Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland. For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David after the horrific shooting and even noted how “poised” he was given the tragedy. As always, he’s welcome to return to the show anytime for a productive discussion.”
