Gov. John Kasich Has Condemned the House Intelligence Committee

John Kasich says the House Intelligence Committee is too politicized.

The Ohio Governor stated, “I don’t like this House Intelligence Committee because when I was in Congress, the House Intelligence Committee was like going to the Vatican, the College of the Cardinals, nothing ever seeped out. Even though there were big differences in ideology and big differences between approaches to foreign policy, there was an absolute no leak, no nothing, no partisanship; we’re all in this together. And now I see the fighting in the Intelligence Committee in the House, I think it’ll never be the same again. I mean, there’s leaks out of the place and partisanship has taken over. It has virtually no credibility with me. It’s really sad, because the Congress needs to have a mechanism to oversee things that is done in strict secrecy. I don’t know if you can put Humpty Dumpty back together again.”

When asked if he thought they did their due diligence with regards to the Russia investigation, he stated, “I have no idea, I just know it’s nothing but partisan over there…” He elaborated, “I don’t like what I see. Is there a surprise? No, the whole place is like you don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. And a lot of it is frankly falling apart. It’s terrible."
