House Passes Two Bills Which Would Create Pathways to Citizenship for Millions of Undocumented Immigrants

The House has passed two bills with paths to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants — and as one DREAMer summed it up, ‘it would give me certainty for once in my life.'

The House passed the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, which could help create a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

The two bills are separate from President Joe Biden’s larger immigration plan, the U.S. Citizenship Act 2021, which would provide a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Activists are optimistic that the individual immigration bills will pass through the Senate easier than Joe Biden’s immigration plan, which currently faces an uphill battle in a split Senate.
