Jerry Falwell Jr.’s trainer got a “sweet deal” on some property at Liberty University.
Benjamin Crosswhite bought a $1.2 million facility from Liberty University with $0 down and a price of $580,000, which the school loaned him. It has five indoor tennis courts, a full-size fitness gym, and a spa.
In 2011, the Falwells met and began training with Crosswhite, then 23, and the next year flew him to Miami with them via private jet. Falwell then asked Liberty’s staff to give Crosswhite a “sweet deal” to lease space at the facility, which has been donated to the school.
“Becki and I wouldn’t mind working out over there with Ben as a trainer because it is more private,” he stated in an email.
In 2016, Falwell signed the complex over to Crosswhite. It has been listed at $1.2 million, but Liberty cut the price by $650,000 and loaned him the rest at 3% interest. Falwell also reportedly sent Crosswhite a sexy photo of his wife to thank him for helping her get in shape, though he denies that accusation.
The Falwells helping another young man start a business in 2013. Giancarlo Granda was a 21-year-old pool attendant at a luxury hotel in Miami, where the Falwells were staying on vacation. They began a “friendly relationship” with Granda, helping him start his own business and offering to fly him in their private jet. One possible reason for the investment is that Granda allegedly stole “private photos” of the Falwells. Trump’s former lawyer and “fixer” Michael Cohen claims to have negotiated to get them back.
