Joe Biden delivered the verbal smack down on Trump we’ve all been waiting for.
“Who in God’s name would be here in this moment with this president.” Biden began in a speech. “We have a president who is consumed by his political survival. It’s the beginning, the middle and the end. Everything is a filter of how it affects Donald Trump in Donald Trump’s mind. He’s in the process of shredding some of our core values. Institutions that I never though we’d ever be talking about — they’re in jeopardy.”
He went on to say, “We’re not a nation that gives comfort and safe harbor to neo Nazis crawling out of fields carrying torches, walking through a historic city in the United States of America, chanting the same anti-semitic bile — carrying flags that occurred in Nazi Germany in the ‘30s. Accompanied by white supremacists and being resistant to groups that said, ‘not here.’ …And he’s literally putting to test the invisible moral fabric that is the ballast of who we are. And you know what that fabric’s made of. It’s made of decency — just simple honestly. Just a notion of dignity and respect — treat your opponent as well as your friend with respect.”
