Trump called Meghan Markle “nasty” during a taped interview— and he’s now claiming he never called her what he called her.
During an interview with British outlet The Sun, Trump was asked about the Duchess of Sussex and comments she made about him during the 2016 election besmirching him and he stated that he didn’t know that “she was nasty.”
On “The Nightly Show with Larry Willmore,” Markle stated, “It’s really the moment that I go, we film ‘Suits’ in Toronto, and I might just stay in Canada.”
She went on to say, “Yes, of course Trump is divisive. And with someone as misogynistic as Trump is, and so vocal about it…Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t really want that kind of world that he’s painting.”
Trump as denied calling the Duchess of Sussex “nasty,” and his 2020 campaign Twitter account even claimed he never said it by tweeting out a video stating, “Fake News CNN is at it again, falsely claiming President Trump called Meghan Markle ‘nasty.’ Here is what he actually said. Listen for yourself.”
