Rudy Giuliani contradicted Trump’s claims, saying the Stormy Daniels’ hush money payment actually did come out of Trump’s pocket, during an interview with Sean Hannity. This flies in the face of Trump’s previous statements that he knew nothing about the $130,000 Michael Cohen gave to Daniels.
Trump responded to Giuliani’s revelation by tweet, admitting to the payment and hush deal, but still denying an affair with Daniels. He also threatened legal action against Daniels for breaking the deal, tweeting. “It is in full force and effect and will be used in Arbitration for damages against Ms. Clifford (Daniels).”
The payment could be a violation of campaign finance law, but Trump and Giuliani claim it had nothing to do with the campaign.
“That money was not campaign money. Sorry, I’m giving you a fact now that you don’t know. It’s not campaign money. No Campaign finance violation,” Giuliani stated to Hannity.
However, the former New York mayor quickly contradicted himself, tying the payment to the election in a separate Fox New interview.
Stormy Daniels says she is donating the $130,000 to planned parenthood in Trump’s Name. As for the timing/source of the infamous hush money — more will surely come to light.
