President Trump hired a Fox News conspiracy theorist to be his new lawyer.
Sure, Joe Digenova has experience as a U.S. attorney — but it’s likely his peddling of pro-Trump conspiracies on Fox that caught the president’s eye.
“Every one of these people should be put in a wanted poster at a post office.” Digenova stated, in reference to the FBI, while on Tucker Carlson’s show. “They, like Comey and McCabe, and the senior Obama DOJ people, hate Donald Trump."
He also stated on Fox, “I don’t like dirty cops and the 7th floor of the FBI is full of them and the upper echelon of the DOJ under Obama was full of dirty cops. And look what they did — they threw a case against Hillary Clinton like a bunch of lousy 1930s prizefights for 500 bucks. And they tried to frame Donald trump with a created crime.”
He’s also taken jabs at news publications, stating, “It is inescapable, no matter what all these people are saying at the New York Times and the Washington Post with their silly editorials. They are missing one of the great corruption stories of American law enforcement.”
Clearly Trump has a fan in Digenova — but his theories seem to be more prevalent than his law prowess.
