DJ Khaled wants to give back to the next generation by helping students get amped for school.
“Education is a powerful tool to have — knowledge, is key.” the hip hop star explained. “So, it’s always important for me, personally. But at the same time, as to give the knowledge and education that I know to give back to the young world.”
Khaled understands the road to success isn’t always easy. He wants students to be able to embrace the struggle and not complain about the obstacles they might face.
“Complaining is like a setback. It’s a waste of emotion. We’re all human you know, I get it, but I’d rather put that energy about finding solutions, and finding the solution, I think, is the key to every win and every victory,” he said.
Khaled’s also teamed up with Get Schooled, a nonprofit organization that encourages high school students to graduate and go on to college. But to get there, he says kids need to be positive on social media and speak up for what they believe in: “If you notice, the kids are speaking up and they’re coming together. And that’s what I love. And I always promote love, because love is the key, the answer, and the solution.”
