Fifth Harmony Announce Hiatus

Fifth Harmony is going on an “indefinite hiatus” to pursue solo endeavors.

The group made the announcement on Twitter, stating, “After six years going hard, non-stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavors.”

The girls also thanked their harmonizers for all their love and support, stating, “Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X-Factor, we’ve realized just how far we’ve come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever.”

The group formed during the 2nd season of “The X-Factor” in 2012. They finished 3rd in the competition but Simon Cowell signed them to his record label. They’ve dropped 3 studio albums, and each charted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Camila Cabello left the group in December 2016 and released her debut solo album in January 2018. She’s also opening for Taylor Swift on her upcoming world tour. Ally, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Lauren said they plan to still perform upcoming scheduled shows through the end of 2018 — we’ll definitely miss the awesome girl group!
