Kendrick Lamar and SZA brought it for their new “Black Panther” music video. “All the Stars” is the first single off the new Marvel movie’s soundtrack, and features plenty of amazing afro-centric visuals. In starts off with the rapper surfing through a crowd of people and walking through a field of black panthers. As it continues, the visuals get more and more spectacular, with SZA dancing through a star-punctuated space and lounging among a pile of beautiful patterns.
“Black Panther” is already hit and it hasn’t even started playing in theaters yet. The black-led superhero movie features an all-star cast, including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett. It promises some unbelievable costuming and stunning action sequences. It is also scoring big for representation in superhero movies and is predicted to have record-shattering results at the box office. There are plenty of super hero flicks coming out, including sequels, cross-over films and origin stories. But there is definitely nothing coming out in theaters that is quite like “Black Panther.”
The movie’s soundtrack was curated by Lamar himself and features artists like The Weekend and Khalid. The album drops February 9, and will definitely get you hyped for the movie’s release.
