Olivia Munn & Niecy Nash’s Critics’ Choice toast to “good guys” got savage. The two toasted men for being decent humans, and for doing things that honestly shouldn’t be as big of a concept as they are.
“I’d like to raise a glass,” began Munn. “to the studio executive who have me meet him in the hotel conference room instead of his actual hotel room.”
“Congratulations for doing that you supposed to do.” Cheered Nash. “Huh? And here’s to the male casting directors who didn’t ever say anything derogatory to me in an audition.”
“Oh, and I’d also like to thank that famous actor who didn’t treat me like crap after I said didn’t want to get drinks with him after the show.” Joked Munn.
Then they went off on the guys who haven’t been so great. Like the men who stayed silent at the Golden Globes.
“I want to say this really quickly:” began Nash. “that you to all of the men for speaking up at the Golden Globes and joining our sisters…”
To which Munn interjected, “Uh, actually they didn’t really say much there.”
“Oh. My bad. Ok, never mind.” Said Nash.
Perhaps the next awards show will see a bit more vocal male support.
