Solange Teases New Music, Content on BlackPlanet

Hype for new Solange music is getting out of control after she teased new content on BlackPlanet.com and previewed a new track on Twitter.

Solange directed fans to her page on BlackPlanet, which is a social networking site that was created in 1999 for Black men and women to share thoughts, list job posts, or find a partner. The site’s traffic flatlined by 2013, but Solange seems to be using it to tease new music with a collage of Southwest-inspired pics, videos, and tour dates.

Her most recent album, “A Seat at the Table,” ranked number one on the Billboard 200 chart in 2016. She has said her next record will drop at some “mysterious and unexpected moment” that it could have hip-hop, electronic, and jazz influences. Some fans are already psyched about her BlackPlanet post.

“SOLANGE IS COMING GOD MIGHT BE A WOMAN.” @META_OMONTLE stated on Twitter.

“Solange using Black Planet to market her new material/projects is exactly the type of content and marketing and branding and dope shit that I aspire to do! Cause it’s real AF.” @jasmynbeknowing stated.
