An NBA star filled his teammate’s entire car with popcorn. Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks had a bit of fun pranking rookie Sterling Brow, after he didn’t complete some unspecified “rookie duties.” Fortunately, Brown had a good attitude about, despite his entire car being filled to the brim with popcorn.
“I can’t wait ‘til my rookies come here. Ohh, I can’t wait!” Brown joked, as he watched the kernels cascading out of the driver's seat.
Pranking rookies has been a long-time tradition in sports. Teams like the Golden State Warriors have made their rookies belt out Karaoke tunes to packed arenas, while the Sacramento Kings hold dance competitions so theirs can show their moves to the stadium. The Los Angeles Lakers have also participated in past prank-age.
And it’s not just in the NBA; many MLB teams like the New York Yankees, The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays make their rookies dress up in costume. The Dallas Cowboys of the NFL love to give their rookies outrageous hairdos. You’ve gotta love their creativity and the rookie’s ability to roll with the punches — we just hope that Brown isn’t still pulling popcorn out of his car months later.
