Record-Breaking Electric Bike Is Going on Sale

This electric bike broke a world record and it’s about to go on sale to the public. The e-bike promises 2236 miles on a single charge when the average e-bike on the market only lasts 20-50 miles. It was created by Ukrainian company Delfast and offers the option of pedal-assist and three power modes. It has a suggested speed of 16 mph to optimize the charge but you can go up to 34 mph if you need speed. There are also key security features like an alarm, immobilizer and GPS tracking.

With a $4,289 price tag, it won’t come cheap but its designer claims this bike is a total game changer.

“You can buy an e-bike for $600-$700, but they are more like toys, you know. You can drive to the supermarket or to your work, but then you need to charge it. For professional using, that’s definitely not enough.” Delfast CEO Daniel Tonkopiy stated.

After this bike hits the shelves, Delfast is already working on a follow-up model which is a three-wheeler. So if you’re a big biker, who is looking for new model or mechanism, consider investing in this bike and seeing if the addition of tech and electricity makes the ride even better.
