Rob Riggle Is Using Golf To Help Veterans And Their Families

Rob Riggle knows how to bring people together through golf.

The actor and comedian has been in some of the biggest comedies on Earth, but he’s also a huge golf fan. And he’s using his love for the sport to help others. A Marine veteran himself, he founded “The InVETational” in 2016, which is a charity tournament to support military veterans and their families.

“I’m always meeting veterans, I’m always hearing their stories, and sharing their experiences, and it’s always inspiring,” Riggle stated, “And it’s always a great reminder that even as you and I are talking right now, there are people out there, forward deployed, away from their families, in harm’s way, making sure that you and I get to enjoy this life that we have, and this freedom, so I’m always grateful.”

Riggle is also a yearly participant in the American Century Championship — a celebrity tournament with pro athletes like Steph Curry and Aaron Rodgers. In addition to plenty of good golf and great vibes, the American Century also features Korbel’s “celebrity spray off” where celebs compete to shoot a Korbel champagne cork the farthest distance.

“It’s a fun event to do, that puts people in a good mood,” said Riggle. “I think anytime you hear champagne popping it’s always a good thing.”
