The Yankees Made This Powerful Video For A 10-Year-Old Bullying Victim

The Yankees rallied behind a little girl who was being bullied.

10-year-old Cassidy Slater recorded a viral video asking people to stop bullying her and for the school to hold bullies accountable. The child’s video was taken down after going live, and her Facebook account was deleted. According to her mother, the school district reported Cassidy for not being old enough to have an account. But she re-posted her daughter’s story on her own page in order for her message to be heard.

The Yankees star players also showed support for her with a video of their own. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and CC Sabathia all praised Cassidy’s courage with sweet messages like, “We may be taller than you, but we want you to know that we look up to you.”
In addition to the Yankees, actors like Hugh Jackman have shown support for Cassidy online, tweeting, “Hi Cassidy… I’m Hugh. I want you to know you’re loved, special & smart. You’re strong, funny & beautiful both inside and out. BULLYING IS NOT OK. Please never stop asking for help. You will find it from people and places you never thought possible. I’m your friend.”

Cassidy said she’s been bullied since the 1st grade, and the school has reportedly conducted an investigation into her story.
