Tori Bowie is the fastest women in the world — but the road to glory has not been easy for the 3-time Olympic medalist.
“I come from a small town called Sand Hill, Mississippi with no stop lights.” Bowie explained. “Where I come from, I feel like people just don’t — we’re not supposed to succeed, just because of where we come from. It’s been a struggle since day 1. My birth mom dropped me off in foster care when I was 2 years old, so my entire life has been a struggle.”
But she became a world champion despite the odds and won the 100-meter sprint in 2017.
“It’s amazing hearing it because it’s something that I always dreamed of, and it’s a title that I always wanted so it’s humbling.”
Off the track, Tori is also a model, who is ready to take the fashion world by storm. She says she’s eager to take on the runway, just like she’s taken on the fashion world. Her biggest goal is to live her life to the fullest. It seems like the track champion can conquer anything she sets her mind to — so we’re eager to see what industry-shattering feats she takes on next.
